The Etruscan Coast

Baratti is a piece of coastal Tuscany that is well worth the trip, and the detour to Populonia offers a stunning panoramic view of the coast and the chance to visit the medieval village and the Archaeological Park. Wellness lovers can rejuvenate in the warm spa water of Venturina Terme.

Notes: a route that calls for basic physical fitness due to its distance and elevation gain. The most demanding stretch is the climb from Baratti to Populonia: about 2 km with gradients reaching 14-15%. The route offers very beautiful views, especially during the coastal section in the Baratti area. There are opportunities for refreshments on the route, but it is a good idea to bring sufficient drinking water.
